Permanent blockage of Verkhovna Rada’s tribune is perceived by many observers as political performance (of both the opposition and the power). About oppositionists’ purposes who blocked the parliament at the session on the 6th of June again – in the comment of the political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko.
Blockage of the parliament’s work by the opposition is a smoke curtain to hide the problems that are in the offing of this political force.
The opposition has politically lost against the power several times in recent months: on the 18th the opposition’s action in Kiev failed, the oppositionists could not achieve carrying out the elections in the capital and could not agree on the consolidated candidate at the election.
In addition, the oppositional forces have no clear view of further perspectives: Timoshenko, Yatsenyuk, Lutsenko and Tyagnybok are talking about completely different things. “Front of changes” and “Batkivshchyna” in spite of declarations have not merged into the consolidated political force, besides there was a total loss at the elections of mayors on the 2d of June. It means that the opposition has a discord of opinions, and the ratings of their leaders are falling.
The opposition needs to hide all these problems somehow. In due time (the beginning of XX century) the Minister of domestic affairs of Russia Vyacheslav Pleve said: “We need at least small but triumphant war”. And the opposition demonstrates it now.
At that the occasion can be always found, yesterday it was Victor Yanukovich’s absence in the parliament, although he did not come to the parliament earlier to represent his message. But if the president had come to the parliament, the opposition would have protested against this document or found any other occasion.
